Fellow Sportsmen,

Well folks the salmon fishing has been a little slow. So we have been focusing our efforts on coastal fishing for halibut rockfish and ling cod. The rockfish fishing is a no-brainer with some good grade of fish up to 5 lbs in the box. They have been on a title bite. The best bite has been just after the turn of the tide. Halibut fishing has been on and off. But when were on them there good grade of fish. We have been landing halibut up to 25 lbs. I have been fishing shallow for the butts and rockies, some times in 12 feet of water along the coast. I am still fishing halibut on the bars also in 30 to 40 feet of water. In all cases I am using barbless circle hooks and live anchovies.

Today was my 2nd day off this month so I'm getting caught up on everything. I did get a few calls about salmon in close today and chomping pretty good. So we will work on that tomorrow. I have 3 days in August that have a few spots. The rest of the days in August are booked full but there is some room in September. Take a look at the photographs I just posted from the last few days for some fine halibut. EnjoyFellow sportsmen, 07/30/12 Well folks the salmon fishing has been a little slow. Captain Steve called in to tell about his fishing day on the Flash, "We had a good trip today, we left the Harbor at 7:00. Five people chartered the boat and they didn't want to leave until 7:00. We went out and we had easy limits of Rockfish no more than 3 miles up the coast. We also got 2 keeper Lingcod. Then we went up to Bonita Cove which was a little slow. So we ran out to the......
