Fishing for spring salmon has continued to produce quality salmon this past week with best action early in the morning in and around the Outlet. As flows increase and cooler nigh time temps water temps should improve for good fishing in the mornings. Angler's casting large #6 Blue Fox spinners from the bank around the outlet have caught a few salmon to 30 lbs. Most fish have averaged 12 to 25 pounds. Professional guide service has had another great week fishing for salmon on the Feather back bouncing small K-13 or K-14 kwikfish with a sardine wrap for king salmon to 27 pounds. Brian Young from San Francisco landed three chrome bright salmon to 25 pounds before keeping his limit. Jim Robbins of Chico also kept his limit a 24 pound king. Mel Ewing of Lincoln, Ca. also caught a 36 pound King on the June 26th. Feather river daily limits for salmon are one per person. Salmon fishing will improve if flows increase for both boat and bank anglers.
