Lake News
We will be stocking Florida Strain Big Mouth Bass sometime around June 2012. Fish will be about 4"-5" at the time & grow to about 10" in the first year. This type of bass will continue to grow over the next 5 years and be active breeders.
Fish Plants This Week: On Tuesday, January 24th we had 600 lbs planted at the North shore ramp, 1200 lbs at the South shore ramp and 600 lbs planted at the South shore pond.
Trout Report: Our Facebook fans have had a lot of positive things to say about our fishing this last week. You can check out our Facebook page for specifics. We also had someone from Central Valley Anglers who wished to remain anonymous state that the fishing has definitely picked up in the last week and he managed to catch a total of 8 fish with the largest weighing about 7 lbs! Another angler out of South shore reported to have limited out trolling the main lake on both Sat & Sun. Art Bickham of Ione caught a 7.56lbs trout using powerbait while fishing near the causeway. Our catch of the week goes to Nancy Sedlmeyer of Jamestown for catching a 7.71 lbs trout out of the trout pond on Friday using rainbow powerbait. Pic has been posted to Facebook!
Anglers are always encouraged to share their fishing experiences with us. Got a good story about the "one that got away" or an awesome fish recipe you want to share? Email us! (SWells@tcpcadmin.com) or stop by either marina.
