Skies are presently overcast/partly cloudy, possibility of rain late this afternoon through mid-week. Temperatures remain in the in the mid 70's cool overnight, mild breezes during the day.

The Lake is full to the brim with water levels right at the tree line and still cascading over the spillway. Good visibility to 15 feet, water temperatures remains unchanged this report, 54 degrees at 20 feet and 58 at surface in the Marina.

Kokanee and Trout are concentrating in the River Arm between the Rock Wall and Twin Coves. Apex lures tipped with scented shoe peg corn, Uncle Larry's fire tiger, pinky and copper pops with corn, pink /white hoochies all behind a small Sep's dodger have all been working well. The Marina reports Trollers have had to drop down a bit deeper recently, the fish are now in 20 to 40 foot depths which is near or beyond the limits of lead core line.

No word of any German Brown action last week but you know they are still there in the River Mouth near the Rock Wall. Mid-size broken back fire tiger and trout minnow Rapalas and the Hot Steel Rapala alone or behind a silver/green dodger at 20 to 50 feet have been very successful getting it done in the past!

Bass fishing has also been good lately along submerged structure and rocky outcroppings near the Dam and Spillway; swim baits have been very effective.

The Marina reports bank anglers continue to do well. Planters continue to hold in the Recreation area so anglers are doing well longer. Hot spots are the same-the EBMUD boathouse, Launch Ramp, TomSawyerIsland, the banks on either side of the Marina gangway and Rainbow Point. Kastmasters continue to be super hot, silver/blue and silver/chartreuse  ? oz size. The sliding sinker set up is best with white power eggs, chartreuse garlic flavored Power Bait with sparkles and dark green PowerBait.

Some boats working the area between the Dam and the River Mouth this morning however the Marina reports the most successful area for trolling has been from the Rock Wall to Twin Coves. It sounds as though the Derby has had little effect on the fishing. Apex lures tipped with scented shoe peg corn, Uncle Larry's fire tiger, pinky and copper pops with corn behind a small Sep's dodger. Trout are also active in the same region but a bit...... Read More
