The Catch a Special Thrill [CAST] For Kids event for special-needs children will take place on Lake Oroville on June 18. "We are seeking children with disabilities to participate in this event, and we still have plenty of room", said organizer John Ford. To register children to participate, call 530-538-2222.
Ford added, "We can also use at least three or four more volunteer boat owners who have river-style boats that can carry larger passenger loads. Some of the kids need extra-special handling that requires an additional helper or two. It is an incredibly uplifting experience." To volunteer the use of your boat, contact Don Reighley at 530-533-8182.
