Bob Baker from Reno, Nevada gave spring salmon fishing a try in early June and was happy to hook into this 18 pound king salmon while fishing with guide Dave Jacobs of professional guide service on the Feather River downstream from Oroville, Ca. Backbouncing roe and a small corky was all it took to hook up Bob's salmon. Many spring salmon have already made it up to the hatchery near Oroville in early June with more right behind the first wave of salmon entering the Feather river Hatchery. Salmon fishing will improve with the release of more water in the coming weeks. Angler's are allowed one salmon in possession until mid July.
