Sacramento river striper fishing is still going pretty good from colusa to Grimes. Lots of fish in the 15 to 24 inch range are still holding in the area. Yesterday the fish were not hitting the Jumbo minnows very well but we got plenty of action on cut sardines at anchor. I think most of the spawning has taken place so the larger females are hard to come by. Friday I fished the Princeton area with only one 7 lb fish. I dont know why the fish havent moved up river in any numbers, I guess they have what they need where they are. The best part about the striper fishing in the Colusa area is most of the guides have left and the pressure is very lite.
