The river is running good and clear. Late last fall, Alpine County planted 1800 lbs of rainbows from 10 inches to 5 lbs. They are still in there since it has been catch and release. The county is planning another plant of rainbow trout just before the opener. This should be one of the best fishing openers they have had in many years. Weather permitting. The Carson River Resort Store is fully stocked for the things you need or may have forgotten. If you're planning last minute reservations. I would call them asap. They will fill up quickly. For more information call the Carson River Resort at 530-694-2229
Good luck on your next fishing adventure. If you have a question. a report in our local fishing area or have a photo of your catch, send it to nevada@fishreports.com. Hope to see you on the waters. Good fishin' and tight lines.
