Our San Mateo County Police Activities League (PAL) kids trip today couldn’t have gone much better. Started off with a bang first thing this morning with LIMITS of Stripers just inside of SF Bay.  Then we went out to the coast for LIMITS of Rockfish, a couple nice Lings & a Cabezon. Spent the rest of our time drifting for Halibut & ended up catching 5 flatties… and hit our dock at 2:00… plenty of time to beat traffic with a mixed bag of over 250 fish for 20 anglers aboard today !!!
   Quite a lot went into this trip. San Mateo Police Dept & the PAL program collaborated with the Golden State Salmon Association to get the kids out on the Salty Lady… and the $$ to pay expenses came from a fund set up by my long time employer, mentor & friend and the original owner/captain of the SL… the late, great Roger Thomas… which he earmarked for getting youth out on the water before he passed.
THANK YOU to all who collaborated & cooperated to make this trip happen. THESE KIDS ARE WORTH IT !!!
