Nacimiento Lake leveled off and remained at 92 percent of its storage capacity. Anglers reported an improving bite with spotted bass falling for finesse baits, jigs, and Senko style baits. Drop shot, shaky heads and darter head grubs worked for bites in shad, brown, and dark green colors. Small swimbaits slow rolled along the bottom also fooled good numbers of smaller bass. White bass took in-line spinners and small swimbaits on the troll, and spoons worked for bites when worked vertically over schools of white bass. Catfish anglers used cut mackerel, dip bait, and nightcrawlers to land fish, and the crappie bite improved with slabs being reported in 15 to 30 feet of water on minijigs and small live minnows
