The lake rose to 87 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was fair. Rapidly rising water levels gave bass tight lips. Spotted bass anglers used finesse baits in darker colors for bites. A lot of the action happened out deeper, but some shallow water fish were reported by anglers throwing weightless Senkos. Bright colored jerkbaits and chatterbaits also worked for one of our lake contacts. White bass took spoons and spinners, but the reports were few and far between. There were no reports from crappie anglers, and catfish slurped up dip baits and cut mackerel.
