In the Upper Kern, holdovers and an occasional brown trout have been coming on minijigs, trout worms, spinners, and salmon eggs. Fly anglers have had success later in the day with dry dropper rigs. In the Lower Kern, the Bass action is solid on Roostertails, Get Bent Baits, and soft plastics. Catfish can be caught with SSS Dip Baits, clams, and worms. Bluegill have been coming on live worms. At the time of reporting, the Upper Kern River at Kernville was flowing at 531 CFS and the Lower Kern River was flowing at 2291 CFS

Pyramid Lake, CA: The lake level remained near 90 percent of capacity, and water temperatures continued to fall
Lake Isabella: This week Isabella fell to 48 percent of capacity and the overall fishing has been great
Lake Kaweah: The lake held at 11 percent of capacity, and anglers reported another week of good fishing
Lake Success: Success Lake fell to 38 percent of capacity and fishing has been good
River Walk Lakes: The bluegill bite is very good
Ming Lake: At Ming the bass bite remains steady here
Buena Vista Lakes: Fishing was fair last week, but a few anglers did report some good days of fishing too

Lake Nacimiento: Bass anglers reported decent fishing for spotted bass in 10 to 25 feet of water

Pyramid Lake, CA: Pyramid Lake held between 90 and 92 percent of capacity, and water temperatures dropped below 70 degrees
Lake Isabella: Isabella fell to 53 percent of capacity this week and the bass bite has been excellent
Kern River: The trout fishing in the Upper Kern has slowed from limit style fishing in September
Lake Kaweah: Kaweah Lake held at 11 percent of capacity, and anglers reported decent fishing for spotted bass
Lake Success: The lake fell to 48 percent of capacity and fishing has been fair
River Walk Lakes: Anglers reported decent bass action here with small top water and plastics
Ming Lake: Here at Ming the bass bite has been very good
Buena Vista Lakes: The Taft Chamber of Commerce Annual Trout Fishing Derby is only one month away!
Hart Park Lake: Fishing has been fair at Hart Park
Lake Nacimiento: Nacimiento Lake fell to 59 percent of capacity, and water temperatures dropped below 70 degrees
