The river should stay in fishable shape through the weekend

With water conditions improving the past few days, a few more fish are now being caught. The river should stay in fishable shape through the weekend, but will likely get dirty on Monday due to rain coming and snowmelt. Flows are forecast to be over 1,000 cubic feet per second early Tuesday and rising.

Eel River: Back on the drop but will need at least another week before it’s in fishable shape
Eel River - South Fork: The river is dropping quickly this week and it should be back in fishable shape by later in the week
Van Duzen River: Flows were back under 750 cfs and it could be fishable by later in the week
Smith River: The river is dropping quickly and will be back to low and clear conditions soon
