Umbrella rigs or lead headed baits to come across the schools of stripers and cover umbrella rigs or lead headed baits to come across the schools of stripers and cover baits throughout the day but have been more active towards the surface in the early morning hours. Anglers have had luck trolling the lake with deeper diving jerkbaits and umbrella rigs or lead headed baits to come across the schools of stripers and cover more water. Top water baits and jerkbaits have also been working during the morning hours as the stripers are still more active. Largemouth and Smallmouth bass have been biting more top waters and spinners over the past week or so along with soft plastics like senkos or creature baits and roboworms along the grasslines of the lake.

Water temperature: 72-74 degrees

Smaller striper boils have been seen throughout the lake in deeper water out towards  Chumash Island, Yellowbar and Spanish Point. Small kastmasters and flukes have been working well along with worms and various cut baits throughout the day. Pan fish and bass have been biting like crazy all around the lake! Most of the wooden docks in the marina and by white oak have been having lots of luck, while anglers on boats are doing well back in the narrows and in the bays across from white oak!
