The fishing at Donner Lake is picking up. Good size rainbows are still being caught off the boat ramp in the 15 foot water column. Shore anglers fishing for rainbows should use powerbait or salmon eggs with a slip sinker rig for best results. The kokanee bite can be found around the 40 foot water column. Anglers Kokanee fishing are mostly focusing near the north shore of Donner Lake.
