The lake held near 25 percent of capacity and bass anglers reported another solid week. Topwater has been effective in the mornings with poppers and walking baits doing well. Senkos, drop shot, shaky heads, and Carolina rigged curly tailed worms worked in 5 to 20 feet of water, but some of the fish were reported a little deeper. Anglers used spoons and jigs to fool the deeper fish. White bass fell for topwater, Kastmasters, and in-line spinners, and crappie ate minijigs and small live minnows. Catfish anglers used cut baits, nightcrawlers and dip bait to fool plenty of whiskerfish.
