Donner Lake’s boat ramp is open to use. Shore angling for leftover rainbows or trolling for mackinaw has been the most popular choices for anglers here. Anglers have reported some Kokanee on the surface, but they are sporadic and spread out across the Lake. Other lakes are better for Kokanee fishing right now. Shore anglers should try fishing with powerbait or salmon eggs with a slip sinker rig.

Donner Lake is currently at 97% capacity.
