The Trinity River has turned on the past week and we're seeing some pretty good to Real good steelhead fishing. We're finding the best action for both wild and hatchery steelhead in the Weaverville area. This weeks dry spell shouldn't hurt the bite and we're looking at a wet weather pattern again next weekend. Thats what we hope for this time of the year. A little rain to keep the steelhead moving up river, but not so much that it creates high water. Drifting roe or pegging beads have been the best two presentations for these steelhead the past few weeks. Fresh roe seems to fish a little better after a good day or two of rain. Captain Justin only has a few available days left in January and his February dates are booked until mid month. That makes now the perfect time to get your Trinity River winter steelhead fishing trip booked. Give Jaynie a call at (530) 510-2925 for available dates! Thank you!
