Brion Beetz and I fished San Pablo Reservoir today from 7:30 to noon. In the first hour we caught a nice 1 ½ lb trout. Then around 11 I hooked and brought along side the boat a sturgeon about 4 and a half feet long. Would have been a keeper if we had kept it. I just hate to take them out of the reservoir. Besides, we could not have even got the head in our little trout net. The most amazing thing is I left my catfish tackle box at home, and we were using trout hooks on 4 lb leader. Luckily the fish got wrapped in the line, and gave up easily. Still made it home for my 2 o’clock nap.
