San Pablo Reservoir Fish Report for 3-2-2020
Lots of Trout Being Caught
San Pablo Reservoir - El Sobrante, CA (Contra Costa County)

Larry aka Yoda-man and Jim Bartow of Santa Rosa caught 6 trout weight of the larges 7.0 lbs. at the South end and the rock wall on 2-24-2020.

Lake Level 303.4
Surface Temp 53 degrees
Still much of the same the trout bite is very good. We are seeing a lot of trout being caught bait fishing on the shoreline as well as in boats. The troll has been slow. I have been told by numerous anglers. Bright color power-baits like chartreuse, spring green, lime twist all with a garlic scent is the best bet.
Plants Rumor has it that DFW planted an unknown amount of trout at the boat launch this week. We did not plant any trout this week we will be planting 1,200 lbs. on Thursday 3/5/20.

Dan Prows, Scott and Ky of San Jose caught 3 limits of trout the largest weighing 4 lbs. the weight of stringer 30 lbs. Using Mice-Tails in Scow Canyon on 2-24-20.

Don Soong of Dublin caught 3 trout the weight of the largest 7 lbs. the weight of the stringer 11 lbs. In the lake using power-bait he has been fishing here since the 70’s. on 2/27/20.

Iping Asiao of San Mateo caught 4 trout the largest weighing 3lbs. using mice-tails and Sandy Point on 2-24-20.

Jerome Wright of Brentwood caught his limit of trout the weight of the stringer 8 lbs. In what he calls the big wet puddle using power-bait on 2/25/20.
