GENERAL CONDITIONS
The boat ramp is finished, and boaters may resume launching at Contra Loma!
Reminder to boaters: All watercrafts (including float tubes) need to have a wearable Coast Guard approved personal floatation device (PFD) per person. Children age 12 and under must wear personal floatation device (PFD) while the vessel is underway.
Fishing has picked up for trout and black bass, and we are getting reports of bluegill and red-ear sunfish being caught all over the lake.
TROUT
Trout are biting almost anywhere around the lake. We are getting reports of tiger tail lures in pink or yellow being the best lures to try! Try using Powerbait or night crawlers as well.
CATFISH
Try fishing for catfish at Channel Point or Loma Island with anchovies, nightcrawlers or chicken livers. Boaters have been doing well toward the middle of the reservoir or along the dam.
