Today we fished Shasta Lake and were, once again, hunting for big browns and rainbows. We found a little of both and managed to lose some big fish as well, but thats fishing. The browns are still holding on structure and will likely continue to do so for the remainder of the year until fall. Optimizer spoons continue to draw the big bites for us. Fishing faster and bigger baits may not have the same action as smaller presentatins bring, but the fish we do catch are very much worth the wait. With Shasta Lake almost full, the fishing is just going to get better and better this year as we head into my favorite time to fish, the summer! Tight lines and have a great weekend!
