As predicted Loch Lomond trout fishing improved after the planting last week. Ranger Glenn Cole reports anglers are "killing the trout," as the weather cooled the past few days. Water temperature is 74 degrees at Loch Lomond and the clarity remains high, at 16 feet of visibility.
Though salmon fishing is closed for the saltwater in the state, it is still possible to catch one in California. A last chance for salmon is the late spring-run on the Feather River, due to close during the first week of July.
