The weather this week has been perfect for trout fishermen. Cold and calm mornings make for great fishing weather. The hot bite this week has been trout, with many anglers limiting out either from shore or boat. Most anglers like to use power bait and power eggs. I would also recommend using either mice tails, kastmasters or small spinners. Catfish are slow this week with few anglers even targeting them. If you target catfish fish points and rock walls. Best baits to use would be either chicken liver, anchovies and night crawlers. Still no reports of anyone having any luck fishing for stripers. If you do target stripers anchovies and mackerel work the best for still fishing. I would also recommend jigging with a kastmaster or hair raiser.
