GENERAL CONDITIONS

BOAT LAUNCH FACILITY WILL BE CLOSED FOR REHABILITATION

The boat launch facility will be closed for rehabilitation beginning September 25, 2017, and shall reopen in spring 2018. Improvements will include improvements to the boat launch, paving and striping of the parking area, new vaults toilets, new and relocated fish cleaning station, and new drinking fountains. All other areas of Contra Loma Regional Park shall not be impacted by this construction. This project is made possible through generous grants from the Bureau of Reclamation and the California Department of Boating and Waterways.

TRAILERED BOATS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LAUNCH.

CARTOP BOAT WILL NEED TO BE CARRIED TO THE WATER FROM ANOTHER PARKING AREA.

Fishing has been good. Weather is cold and sunny.

TROUT

Trout Fishing has picked up on the north-west side of the lake. Using mice tail, Powerbait or nightcrawlers.

CATFISH

Catfish has slowed down. Try at the Channel Point or Loma Island with anchovies, nightcrawlers or chicken livers.

BASS

Black Bass have been biting with artificial baits/lures or nightcrawlers anywhere around the lake or from boats.

The weather this week here at Lake Del Valle has been beautiful with morning temperatures in the low to mid 30s and warms up into the low 60's mid-day. The surface temperature of the water has dropped drastically this week to 55 degrees. The hot bite this week has been trout with many anglers having success.
