Lake Amador is putting out some good numbers right now I started off the morning by throwing a Yamamoto buzz bait with no luck so i picked up the brown and purple jig within a few casts I had my first bite on a main point in Jackson creek. So as we started to get a few more bites I realized the fish were on the points and 30 ft or so down the bank and then letting the fish rest and moving back to the point the fish are definitely schooled up if you catch one there’s more. We bounced around and the pattern was points and deep water close bye, the key was targeting points to the main creeks. The fish are in a full summer pattern they seemed to be shallow in the 5to 8 ft in the morning and as the sun started to rise the fish seemed to move to the 12 to 17 ft range.
