Fishing at McCloud remains as hot as the weather. Despite triple digit temperatures the Trout continue to bite throughout the day. My clients Bob an Tom of Alameda had a not stop bite, from the moment we put our lines in the water at 6:30am, until we quit around 1 pm. The majority of the Trout are Rainbows but we did land 5 Browns as well. The Trout are ranging in size from 1/2 pound to 21/2 pounds and are very healthy. They put up a great battle on my ultra light 6ft6 Rogue rods and Pflueger reels spooled with 6 pound Yo-Zuri hybrid line. Sep's dodgers with worm trailers, K-7 Kwikfish, and broken back Rapalas have been working really well for me. I have been using Pro-Cure Shrimp/Krill gel on everything I put in the water and I cannot complain with results!! I have some open days this month if you are looking for some great Trout action. I can be reached by phone at 530 905 0758, or email me at scott@caldwellfishing.com
