It was a great day on the Upper Klamath river fishing for early King Salmon and Steely Trout. My clients Bill and Rob fished for Steely Trout between the Salmon holes and landed close to 30 fish, the biggest weighing 5 pounds. Back-trolling a small jet diver and a whole threaded crawler in the faster water produced the majority of our Steely Trout. Bill took the honors of landing the first Salmon of the season while back-trolling roe on a diver. It was a small but very fresh 23 inch Buck. The guys will be back on the river tomorrow looking for more Salmon. I have some open days next week and in October for the Fall Salmon so checkout my Calendar page and give me call to get in on the action.
