The Smith River is at 13.57 feet and 14,600 CFS and dropping. The Chetco River is at 7.83 feet and 8,140 CFS and dropping. With the holidays over it is time to get going. I had two trips this week Monday & Wednesday fished both days on the Chetco River. The Mondays trip we hooked 5 steelyard and landed 3 two of the steelhead were hatchery and one wild to about 12 pounds. The trip on Wednesday we got several bites and only landing 1 hatchery hen it went 14 pounds. I canceled my trips for this weekend with a big storm that came in and will fish again Wednesday or Thursday depending on the river and rain.
