HOURS OF OPERATION
OPEN Seven Days a Week
Boat rentals are from 6:30am - 4pm
Boats are due in by 5pm
Hours subject to change based on weather conditions and light levels.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
We may experience warm weather conditions this upcoming week; hopefully fishing will pick back up. Water temperature remains in the low 50s and water clarity is about three feet visibility.
All of our boats are half off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays!
CATFISH
Catfishing had a rough year here at Chabot. Typically catfishing this time of the year is fairly slow. Catfishing conditions will improve when the water temperature starts to warm back up.
TROUT
Trout fishing remains slows. EBRPD has been planting trout near the marina, so hopefully trout fishing will pick up. Anglers are catching a few fish early in the morning but no limits were reported caught this past week. The current hotspot is by Indian Cove on Power Bait. Please be patient and follow our Facebook page to receive updates on fishing conditions.
BASS
With the warm weather we are expecting this upcoming week, bass fishing should be great. Bass fishing has been steady for the past several weeks with some bass anglers catching and releasing good numbers. If you do want to try your luck, a couple of good spots to fish for bass are near the island or in bass cove. Please practice catch and release for bass, as they are not stocked into the lake and their population depends on you!
We encourage all anglers to report their stories, comments, or concerns to the Marina. Please email us at swong@calparksco.com. Thanks again for choosing Lake Chabot as your recreation destination.
