When the managing partners of Spanish Flat Recreation Area (Spanish Flat Camping) arrived at the site last Saturday they were surprised to find not one, but two, bass fishing clubs ready to go. The Gilroy Bassmasters and the Santa Clara Bassbusters had a good day.

The Bassmasters caught 70 fish for a total of 102 pounds. The Bassbusters caught 40 bass for 77.3 pound total. One angler had bad/good luck in that he caught no bass but 7 trout on bass lures.
