-Trout fishing has been good. They have been biting at the East Side, North side of lake or from a boat with nightcrawlers, power eggs, or mice tails.
- Catfish bite is slow. Try fishing at Channel Point, Loma Island or from a boat on nightcrawlers or chicken liver.
- Black bass have been biting on artificial baits/lures or nightcrawlers anywhere around the lake.
- Try fishing for crappie or bluegill on jigs or worms at the Boat Ramp area, Loma Island or Channel Point area.
Whoppers Reported:
- Mark Silva caught a 5.3 lb. trout on Power Bait from a boat near the dam
- Charlie Williams caught an 18 lb. striper on a Ki-tech lure from a boat by Swim Lagoon
- Ferdinand Widjaja caught a 6.6 lb. trout on Power Bait at the East Side of Lake
- Luis & Julio caught a 6.11 lb. trout each on Power Bait at the East Side of Lake

Del Valle LakeMerry Christmass everyone I’m writing this a day early because we will be closed tomorrow for Christmas. Due to the rain the lake has risen almost 6 inches. Mt Lassen planted 1000 pounds of trout at the public launch. Water temperature is still around 50 degrees. Trout are eating all over the lake and that’s the only species caught this week.
