Not much has changed here since last week, most bass are suspended about 20’ down in the water column, and have been very difficult to catch. Crappie are also at the same depth, but seem to be a bit more willing to bite than the former. People targeting the slabs had mixed results, but most guys had at least a couple of fish for their efforts. Jig/nibble combos were reported to be the top bait. Catfish have been providing some action on chicken livers and cut mackerel in the swimming pool cove, and White Oak. Once water temps stabilize a bit bites should improve.

Catfish providing the bulk of the action here, with many anglers scoring in the swimming pool cove, and in the White Oak area. Fly lining cut mackerel was the top offering, as well as chicken livers. The bass bite was tough all week, and only a few fish were reported. Crappie fishing is also slow at the moment, as fisher men only averaged about 1 to 2 fish for their efforts. All other species went unreported. ...... Read More
