Congrats to Casey Richter who landed the first Drifters cutthroat trout of the season. We have been seeing some nice fish begin to stage on the gravel beds just recently.

It took skills to get this trophy rainbow for long time Drifter Todd Yamada. This fish hit an artificial Drifters Owens River Crawler.

Gil Caresses hit this awesome cutty on crystal eggs just before a storm set in. Doug Rodricks was his guide.

“Minnesota Thin” Joel Johnson left his mark on this trophy rainbow while battling 25mph north winds all day. There are a few bigs hanging around; but overall numbers are down this spring.

Absolutely one of my highlight guide trips of the year. Young gun Nicco Valpredo cast, set, and fought this beast of a rainbow all by himself on a recent trip he took with his dad Gino to the UO. This youngster is destined to be a fly fishing hall of fame
