Success Lake held at 90 percent of capacity, and anglers reported decent fishing. Crankbait fishing has been the most fun way to get bit, but there’s also a decent finesse and jig bite. Bass have been holding near submerged vegetation and along main lake points. Stick baits, spider jigs, and Carolina rigs all worked to fool fish. Crappie schools can be found near the marina or by metering schools over submerged vegetation. Minijigs, small swimbaits, and small live minnows all worked for bites. Catfish anglers used dip bait and cut anchovies to land whisker fish.
